Bike riding is a fun physical activity which allows us to participate with family and friends whilst exploring our local community! There are many benefits to bike riding including improved strength and fitness, skill acquisition and improved mood.

If you and your child have a bike riding goal then Physiotherapist’s are well placed to support you with this.

Depending on your child’s specific needs, the goal might be to ride a two wheeled bike, a trike or a modified bike with postural supports.

Physiotherapists can help with the whole process of learning to ride a bike- from trials and set up, to specific skills like learning to pedal, right through to riding in the community.

As with our other Physiotherapy sessions, we use evidence based task specific training approaches to support you and your child to reach their bike riding goals (with lots of fun and games thrown in!!).
